Sheds up!
Well finally we have our new sheds up. Still waiting on the doors to go in after Christmas. The official opening of these sheds will be a wonderful day of celebrations with live shearing shows using modern and olden days techniques, dog trials, horse and cart rides, wool clothing fashion parades, sheep wearing Mongrel Socks, live music, plenty of country food, face painting to pony rides for the children.
Southern Midlands Council Mayor Mr. Tony Bisdee will officially open the sheds on 8th February at 12 noon.

Last Friday 28th November saw the launch of the Bare Bellies, Butts & All calendar at the Royal Hobart Hospital. We had the stars from the calendar on show with the sheep, kelpie, shearers and wool classers all getting into the spirit of the event.

Money raised from the calendar goes toward the establishment of the shearing interpretation shed as well as the men’s/farm shed and every calendar sold $1 goes to the burns unit. The money raised for the burns unit will help with the refurbishment of some of the rooms to make patients feel more comfortable.
